Deleting files from a Team Site library will send them to your site recycle bin. The recycle bin is the location where all the content that you delete is stored. Information stored in the recycle bin remains there by default for 93 days in total. Content can be restored from your recycle bin at any point within that 30 day period. Restored files are placed back in the original library.
The recycle bin can be accessed from the site contents menu. To delete one or more files, follow these steps:

In the Task Bar click |

Click Delete on the confirmation prompt to send the files to your Recycle Bin |
