As collaborators in SharePoint it is useful to be aware of what a drop off library is and how it relates to the content organiser. Although it is not your responsibility to set this feature up, you may end up using it in your site. The content organizer allows the creation of rules that can be used to move a document to the correct document library based on its properties. |

The feature enables a drop off library for the site. Files that are placed in this library are then moved to their end location based on a matching rule. |

|
If more than one rule is relevant to a file the rules can be ranked in importance. Of the two or more rules that can apply to a file in the drop of library, it is the highest ranking rule that will move the file. |
