Lists and libraries are the corner stones of a SharePoint environment. To understand both will enhance your essential understanding of SharePoint and make you feel more confident adding, editing and deleting content. Both lists and libraries have many different and useful templates. Lists can range from calendars to surveys. Libraries can carry files, images and many more variations of content. Lists and libraries can also be set up with some more advanced functionality such as versioning, ratings, content approval and so on.
