Introduction

SharePoint is a Microsoft product that can be used to create and manage web sites to meet a variety of business requirements. The creation and management of SharePoint sites is performed from within the SharePoint browser interface, removing the need for site creators and owners to have web development skills. This allows the IT Department to concentrate on managing the SharePoint infrastructure, while enabling business users to take control of the content, structure and presentation of their sites.
